Using the ‘move’ tool and the left plane I then changed the viewpoints in 3DS Max so that I could then begin the process to drawing out the vertex points so that they begin to form 3D like facial shape. At this current stage the face is just a 2D plane and requires the process of extruding the vertex points so that the polygons form 3D like image. This process was done by pulling the vertex points out to be in-line with the edges of the face image on the plane.
To make the process easier the object was turned transparent by using the object properties and turning on the 'see through' tool.
At this point the rest of the vertex points could then the aligned with using reference points on both the side and front images of my face on the planes. Once the face had formed out of the flat shaped face it was time to begin the adjustments around the eyes, nose and mouth including the edges to ensure that they aligned perfectly with the reference images on the plane.
At this point the half face is now forming into a 3D image and is now taking the shape of a face.
